Between 2010 and 2017, Ryan worked as an official photographer at the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, where he covered the domestic and international events of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. In this position he gained fascinating insight into Emirati culture, and the inner workings of international politics through the activities of an acting head of state. While in this position he photographed meetings in more than 30 countries with over 100 different heads of state, including President Obama, President Trump, President Emmanuel Macron, Emperor Akihito of Japan, President Xi Jinping, King Mohamed VI of Morocco, and Queen Elizabeth of the UK. Outside of his role as an official photographer, Ryan has been very fortunate to work both in Canada and internationally with a variety of clients. His photographs have also been exhibited in group shows in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Including the Ian Parry exhibition at the Getty Images Gallery in London, the Foto 8 Summer Show at the Host Gallery in London, and the traveling Flash Forward exhibitions in both Canada and the United States.
