Ryan relo­cated to the United Arab Emi­rates in 2008 and in 2010 joined the Crown Prince’s Court of Abu Dhabi as offi­cial pho­tog­ra­pher where he cov­ers the activ­i­ties of HH Gen­eral Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.

Prior to tak­ing this posi­tion, Ryan com­pleted edi­to­r­ial assign­ments for pub­li­ca­tions such as the New York Times Mag­a­zine, Mon­o­cle, and the Walrus.
